The first place goes to a film that won our hearts with its elegantly executed treatment of closing a chapter of one's life - all done in a raw form, bursting with life. The way the storyteller holds back and lets the visuals speak for itself, shows an impressive maturity, and is an example to learn from for other young filmmakers.

The First deputy Minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the organizers of the event, the members of the international jury, the selected participants from Russia, Iran, China, Germany, Finland, Tadzhikistan, Latvia, Ukraine together with the representatives of the media took part in a press conference on Thursday, December 9th, 2021 dedicated to the III-rd International project "Film 7 Days".

On May 24 the world premiere of the 2nd edition of the project Film7Days will take place in the newly opened cinema theatre "Кино & Театр" of the Innopolis in Kazan.
All films will be shown in their original language
with Russian subtitles.
From May 27 the Almanac Film7Days will tour in Russian cinemas throughout the country.

During the competition an on-line discussion by three jury members took place. The discussion was attended by Konstantin Bronzit (Russia), Mick Hannigan (Ireland), Salavat Yuzeev (Tatarstan). We're glad to share their opinion about the competing films with you.
10 international Film teams are invited to shoot, edit and premier one, up to 7 min. short fiction film to the jury members of the festival.
All this has to be done during 7 days.
In the frame of new reality imposed by COVID-19 restrictions, film shooting takes place in compliance with all the rules and regulations. The teams work completely remotely, while certain parts of the films are shot on location in Kazan with the support of a second unit team.

The Minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the organizers of the event, the selected participants from Russia, Latvia, Kazan, France, India, Vietnam and USA together with the representatives of the media took part in a press conference on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 where the projects were presented.
Award winning films from the first edition have been screened at the Tampere film festival in march 2020!
